Each set of coins will consist of Seven 2” gold-finished coins, with two-tone silver plating--one for each of the seven Illinois communities where Lincoln and Douglas debated; A wooden display box in a cherry finish; A signed and numbered certificate of authenticity; and   A card that tells the history of the debates, as well as the background for the design adopted for each of the seven debate communities. All seven coins will have a common backside—the Lincoln Douglas Debates Sesquicentennial logo.

The individual coin is 2” featuring the Lincoln Douglas Sesquicentennial logo on one side and the design of the bass drum that is said to been used in 1858 at the Charleston Debate and currently on display in the Lincoln Douglas Debate Museum. This coin is a made of a lesser metal, compared to the coin set above.
